WHO ARE WE ?

GENERALE ALIMENTAIRE AFRICAINE (GAA) based in Abidjan (Cote d´Ivoire), Dakar (Senegal), Bissau (Guinea Bissau), Banjul (Gambia), and Conakry (Guinea) is positioned as a producer, processor and distributor of agro-food products. The company has over twenty years of experience in the field of agro-industry. It also supplies agricultural machinery and complete line of agro processing factories. It provides after-sales service. The objective of GAA is to contribute to food self-sufficiency in Africa by securing the coverage of the needs of the domestic markets in vegetables, fruits, milk, meat, fish, and cereals by proposing new models of integrated smart family farming, modern and viable
GAA also contributes to the promotion of business incubators in the field of plant and animal biotechnologies in order to foster synergy between young African companies and already recognized companies. This allows African companies to have access to international scientific expertise as well as state-of-the-art facilities. GAA has skills in the following areas: Studies of agro-industrial sectors (mature and emerging sectors) Quality and Risk Management; Quality audit according to ISO 9001 standard; Quality of service, HACCP & ISO 22000 approach Project study, Management and evaluation of poverty reduction projects; Diagnosis and upgrading plan of African SMEs; Development and implementation of strategic plans.

OUR GOALS

Contribute to food self-sufficiency in Africa by encouraging the production of quality local food in large quantities.

Promote intensive agriculture and animal husbandry in Africa through the introduction of appropriate technologies.

Develop the export of our products to African countries and all over the world. Encourage local populations to better produce and consume locally.

Supervise all those wishing to embark on the production of cereals, vegetables, fruits, meats, milk, fish, eggs etc.

MINERAL FERTILIZER:

  • Urea 46 is a concentrated nitrogen fertilizer, easily soluble in water and suitable for all needs.
  • AMMONIAC ​​NITRATE is a high concentration fertilizer containing 34% nitrogen.
  • AMMONIUM SULFATE is a nitrogen and a sulfide fertilizer containing nitrogen and sulfide.
  • UAN 32 (MIXITURE CARBAMIDE-AMMONIUM) is a mixture of a solution of ammonium nitrate and urea. UAN does not pollute the environment and improves nitrogen consumption during drought.
  • CAN 27 (NITRATE OF LIME AMMONIA) is a very effective nitrogen fertilizer with calcium. It contains nitrogen in both ammonia and nitrite states, thus ensuring plant nutrition throughout the growing period.
  • AMMOPHOS (MAP) is a high content of granulated nitrogen without any chlorine or nitrate. Its main nutrients are phosphorus and nitrogen contained therein in the form of ammonium.
  • DAP (DIAMMONIC PHOSPHATE) is a type of ammonium phosphate salts, which are soluble in water and used as a fertilizer.
  • NPK (AMONIUM-NITRATE-PHOSPHATE-FERTILIZER) is a high performance granular fertilizer. It contains the 3 essential components, nutrients-nitrogen phosphate and potassium which are easily digestive and provides the plant with a balanced diet.
  • POTASSIUM FENCE, potash chlorine is the most common of potassium fertilizers and is suitable for most crops.
  • PHOSPHATE ORE is the basic element for the production of phosphate fertilizer for agricultural purposes by the ecological method of fine grinding.

BIOTECHNOLOGIES DEPARTMENT

We have a biotechnology park with premises pre-equipped to host projects in agro-food environment or laboratory, Fluids, bench tops, cold rooms and shared laundry.

We also provide technical and practical training in the field of agro and animal biotechnology.

AGRO-INDUSTRY

Agro-industry is the set of industries directly related to agriculture. This therefore includes all agricultural production systems and extends to all companies which supply goods to agriculture (fertilizers, pesticides, machinery) as well as those which process raw materials and package them into marketable products. . In this sense, the agro-industrial sector is not limited to food products alone, an area exclusive to the agro-food sector, but also includes all the parallel sectors for the development of agro-resources: paper, bioenergy, biomaterials, leathers, textiles, essential oils, cosmetics, tobacco, etc.

THE VALLEY RICE

The GAA has embarked on a vast campaign which consists in cultivating and distributing quality local rice ranging from whole rice, to intermediate rice, including broken rice and Basmati. We have several hundred hectares in northern Senegal for rice production.

-A private partnership program with the State of Cote d’Ivoire for rice production, processing and distribution on two hundred thousand hectares east of the Ivory Coast (Abengourou, Tanda, Bondoukou)

-Production of cattle, poultry and fish feed from maize and rice bran from our rice husking factories

-Distribution of seeds, fertilizers and agricultural equipment to improve the entire rice value chain

FISH

Between the coasts of Senegal, Gambia and Guinea Bissau, GAA fishes, selects the best fish, transforms them before distributing them in the West African sub-region and in Europe.

FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Between the Lac rose (Pink Lake) farm and our vast land in northern Senegal, a large quantity of vegetables, and fruits are produced to participate in local, sub regional and global production.

MILK AND MEAT

On its fifty-hectare lac rose farm, the GAA raises Dutch and mixed cows that produce milk processed into yogurt and cheese. Goat sheep and poultry are housed for the production of meat, eggs and milk.
